My day started with a big watermelon which i ate till the evening. In the evening i craved for something hot because it was raining heavily outside.
In the evening I had a call with hannah. It was so refreshing and supportive. She bought me back to normal. She insisted on one thing "Do what you like, your body will love you back"
I am writing this as a note of the experience i had and felt with her.
I asked her about questions like
1) How not to crave for food when everyone around you is eating such food?
She answered me saying "What type of food are they eating?". They are eating food which is filled with ill health. She asked me not to compare myself with others. Don't be bothered about them. You are eating this way to heel your body from the years of abusive eating
2) I live in the tropical, what to do about the recipes u sent in?
Experiment with the local food. Have as much as u want until you feel satiated. Have any whole food. Don't think about it too much and make this lifestyle sound hard to yourself. have fun and food the simple way and enjoy it.
3) Is Exercise is important?
Exercise is required for lymphatic system. Get your blood pumping and sweat a lot. She asked "What did u enjoy the most during your childhood?" Running, Hide-and-seek etc. That is what you like now also. Find out your inner interests. Never force yourself to exercise like hell. Do any type of intensity but only till ur body loves it. She liked dancing and biking so she does that now as well. This answer really let me feel so free and happy. Just have to do something which keeps you happy .. Jogging awesome and badminton even more awesomeR.. Yayy!!
4) How to avoid craving for food ?
It means you are not fed properly. Listen to your body. If you crave something sweet eat dates, if you crave something salty then try out cucumber, tomatoes, potatoes, greens. Spices you are free to use but not salt and oil.
5) Can i have cooked food during afternoon?
Yes completely. In, fact cooked food is soothing food. Potatoes and rice help you soothe your body. Even i feel that we are bought up with different palates so we need to eat rice or potatoes or anything related to our culture related food
6) I shouldnt be in a hurry, right ?
Yes. Take your time. Just have trust that you will "HEEL" that is the secret and be positive.
7) I feel too sweet after eating so much fruit. What to do?
Even I (hannah) used to feel too sweet after eating so much banana and Dates. But after few weeks your taste buds are replaced with new ones then you would be craving for sweet fruits. Try out the salty one like tomatoes might help you feel satiated.
Suggestions:
- Try having snacks like dates to keep your body's fuel high
- Have calorie dense fruits because we binge when we eat less
- Be near to your living style
- Never force yourself to do anything
- Don't think about others eating such food
- Enjoy the flavor and texture of energy which is flowing around you
- Enjoy your present instead of thinking of future
